Entvin

An AI agent platform built to speed up FDA and EMA labeling and promotional material review for pharmaceutical regulatory, medical affairs and commercial teams. Out of Y Combinator’s Summer 2022 batch, it raised its first disclosed outside funding, $500,000 from Y Combinator, in March 2025.

Reading labels for a living

A regulatory affairs team at a large pharmaceutical company spends its week comparing drug labels. When the FDA updates a competitor’s label, someone has to notice, read the change, and work out what it means for pricing, sales talking points, or the company’s own submissions. When a promotional flyer goes out, someone has to check every claim against the FDA-approved label and the relevant 21 CFR rules before it reaches a doctor’s inbox. Entvin was built to do that watching and checking with software instead of a person paging through PDFs.

The company describes itself on its own site in blunt terms: “Entvin AI is an intelligent agent platform which streamline FDA compliance for regulatory, medical affairs and commercial teams.” Two named products carry that work. Labeling AI tracks label updates across the FDA, the European Medicines Agency and Australia’s TGA, and compares old and new label versions side by side. Ads Promo AI reviews promotional materials against FDA guidelines and 21 CFR regulations and helps maintain a library of approved marketing claims.

The problem it names, and the narrower one it solves

In pitching reporters on its March 2025 funding, Entvin named a large target. The FDA drug approval process, the company told Business Standard and roughly a dozen other outlets that ran versions of the same release, “often takes years and costs millions,” and “any inefficiency can significantly impact a company’s bottom line and delay potentially life-saving treatments from reaching patients.” Its own website names a narrower problem, at the post-approval labeling and promotional stage: “Regulatory teams today spend weeks manually tracking FDA and EMA updates, analyzing drug databases, and preparing reports.”

That narrower problem, tracking label changes and vetting promotional copy, is real and well documented in regulatory affairs circles, and it is the one Entvin’s actual feature list addresses: label version comparison, an AI label drafter, competitor label search, and automated review of promotional material against FDA rules. Whether the platform also touches the earlier, harder-to-automate parts of the approval process, such as clinical submissions, is not established by anything found in this research; the company’s YC listing speaks broadly of agents “to support regulatory teams,” while its shipped product is specifically about labels and ads.

Two IIT Bombay classmates, and a third name in the press

Y Combinator’s company page lists two active founders. Sanskar Jain, the CEO, has a mechanical engineering degree from IIT Bombay and previously led growth and strategy at andMe, a direct-to-consumer brand acquired by GlobalBees, after a stint as an analyst in Alvarez & Marsal’s strategy and commercial due diligence practice in India. Hemant Phalak, the chief product officer, has a B.Tech in material sciences from IIT Bombay and was a founding team member at the cross-border fintech Zolve, after working as an associate at PwC India’s technology consulting practice.

Press coverage of the March 2025 funding names a third co-founder, Rishabh Arya, as chief technology officer, and quotes him describing the platform’s architecture. Arya does not appear among Y Combinator’s current Active Founders for Entvin, and he is not listed as a director of Entvin Labs Private Limited, the company’s India subsidiary, whose only two directors on record are Jain and Phalak. Nothing found here explains the gap; it may mean Arya left an operating role, or simply that Y Combinator’s bios were not updated.

From a Bengaluru filing to a first check

Entvin’s India entity, Entvin Labs Private Limited, was incorporated in Bengaluru on August 19, 2022, the same year Y Combinator accepted the company into its Summer 2022 batch. For roughly two and a half years afterward, no outside funding round was disclosed, while the company built the Labeling AI and Ads Promo AI products and, per its later press statements, worked with unnamed “enterprise pilot customers.”

On March 28, 2025, Business Standard reported that Entvin had raised “Entvin AI raises Rs 5 crore in first funding round from Y Combinator,” a figure the company and nearly a dozen outlets converted to $500,000 in the days that followed. Several outlets described the moment as a launch out of beta.

What is proven, and what is still claimed

Operations track. Entvin has no FDA clearance, no registered clinical trial, no NIH or NSF award, and no SEC Form D on file as of September 25, 2026. What is verifiable comes from a company registry filing in India, Y Combinator’s public listing, and independent press coverage of one reported funding round.

Read plainly: Entvin is a three-year-old software company with one disclosed funding event, an active India subsidiary, and a product description that has narrowed over time, from broad language about the FDA approval process to a specific pair of tools for label tracking and promotional review. The claims about enterprise-grade security and pilot customers are the company’s own; nothing external found in this research confirms them.

What to watch

  • Whether Entvin ever files a Form D or another SEC record, which would put a regulator-sourced number on any round raised since the $500,000 from Y Combinator.
  • A named customer. Every reference to pilot or paying users found in this research describes them only by size or job title.
  • Rishabh Arya’s status at the company, given the gap between the March 2025 press coverage naming him CTO and his absence from Y Combinator’s current founder listing.
  • Independent confirmation of the SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and GDPR claims made on the company’s site.
