Measured
A New York telehealth subscription that routes patients either to branded GLP-1 medicines through insurance or to compounded copies shipped to the door. In February 2026 the FDA told it in writing that the compounded side of that marketing was misbranded.
A letter with a case number
In December 2025 someone at the Food and Drug Administration opened trymeasured.com and read the sales pages the way a regulator reads them. Two months later the agency mailed Better Health Labs, Inc., the New York company that trades as Measured, a warning letter with a file number on it: MARCS-CMS 721454.
The letter did not say anyone had been hurt. It said the marketing was false or misleading, which under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act makes the products themselves misbranded. Two things were wrong.
First, the compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide pictured on the site carried the Measured name on the label. The agency read that as a representation that Measured compounded the drugs. Measured does not compound anything.
Second, the site told shoppers the compounded versions contained the same active ingredients as the approved brands. The FDA quoted three lines back, including the plainest: “Same active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy”.
“Your claims imply that your products have been FDA-approved or otherwise evaluated for safety and effectiveness when they have not,” the letter said. Measured had fifteen working days to respond, and the letter closed with the standard sentence about seizure and injunction.
It was not singled out. On March 3, 2026 the agency announced thirty such letters in one wave, the second in six months.
What the company actually is
Measured is a subscription and a software layer. It is not a clinic, and its own documents are exact about that. The terms of service say Measured “itself does not practice medicine. All clinical care on the Platform is provided by licensed professionals employed or contracted by Bridge or the Measured-Affiliated Medical Groups, as applicable.”
The informed consent names those groups. Coastal Care Medical Group, marked for Florida, California and New Jersey, handles cash-pay evaluations and writes prescriptions. Bridge, described as Cloud Health Medical Group and affiliates, handles visits billed to insurance. Patients are told in writing that their clinician may be a physician, a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant, and that “You agree that your provider may not be a physician for every visit.”
The menu runs on two tracks: a prior authorization chased so the patient can collect Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound or Mounjaro at a local pharmacy, or a compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide by courier with no insurance involved.
The founder
Monji Dolon is a first generation immigrant from Bangladesh who worked at UserTesting, Spire Education, UniversityNow and Twice before starting Measured. “I noticed a lack of well-designed tools to help people manage weight effectively,” he told an interviewer in January 2025. The founder letter on the company site is in the same register: “We started Measured because we’ve struggled with weight ourselves, and have countless family members who have felt the effects of obesity.”
The company he built is small: third party trackers put headcount near ten.
From one state to fifty
The arc sits in the company’s own archived pages. A capture of trymeasured.com from December 4, 2022 describes diet, coaching and, where appropriate, FDA-approved medication. Nothing compounded. The geography was narrow: “Measured is currently available anywhere in the United States. However, we only offer medication and prescription services to customers in the state of California.”
That same 2022 page claimed 51,000 customers served and a 4.4 average rating. The marketing site the company still runs on a Framer subdomain, fetched on September 24, 2026, claims 51,000 members and a 4.4 rating. Almost four years, identical numbers.
The rule that moved under them
Compounded GLP-1 copies were legal at scale for one reason: the brands were in shortage, and shortage status unlocks exemptions under sections 503A and 503B of the statute. Then the shortages ended on a published schedule. The FDA declared the tirzepatide shortage resolved on October 2, 2024, had that decision remanded in litigation, and re-issued it on December 19, 2024. Semaglutide followed on February 21, 2025.
The agency gave compounders a countdown rather than a cliff. For tirzepatide, pharmacies and physicians compounding under 503A lost cover on February 18, 2025 and outsourcing facilities under 503B on March 19, 2025. For semaglutide the dates were April 22 and May 22, 2025. Courts declined to stop any of it. By April 2026 the agency was restating that “Tirzepatide and semaglutide do not currently appear on the 503B bulks list or on FDA’s drug shortage list”.
Measured is still selling compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide after all of those dates. Compounding for an individual patient with a documented clinical reason remains lawful. Whether a nationwide subscription funnel meets that test is the question the enforcement wave is circling.

Read plainly: a marketing and operations company with a real regulatory file and little else on the public record. The FDA letter is specific, dated and unanswered. The growth numbers are self reported and have not moved in four years. Whatever clinical confidence the product carries belongs to the approved drugs, not to this platform.
What to watch
- A response or closeout letter in FDA’s database. Fifteen working days from February 20, 2026 expired long ago.
- Whether the Framer marketing site is brought into line with the main site, or taken down.
- Whether the compounded tiers survive the next enforcement wave.
- Whether the 51,000 customer figure is ever updated or dropped.
